This is exciting news! The winners of the Tizen App Challenge have now been announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 and I am very pleased and honored that Jelly Slice was awarded an Honorable Mention Prize!

Applications were judged based upon scores in four criteria including visual design and performance and it is great to see that almost half of the apps awarded in the generic categories were HTML5 apps. This proves once again that with a dedicated runtime, HTML5 applications can compete with the quality and performance of native mobile apps!
Porting my games to the new Tizen platform was amazingly fast and took literally less than a couple days, the Eclipse-based environment offers a seamless experience and is another great example of how HTML5 applications can be supported natively.
To celebrate, the next update will offer a brand new time-based challenge mode and 30 additional levels with the upcoming Jelly Forest Pack!
Again, many thanks to the sponsors, the Linux Foundation, Samsung and Intel. The world of HTML5 development is becoming even more exciting with such great projects!
